Moldejazz and city culture

Every summer, the City of Roses transforms into a cultural melting pot as the world’s oldest annual jazz festival, Moldejazz, fills the streets with life and rhythm. By the waterfront, the distinctive Scandic Seilet and Aker Stadion stand tall, both designed by local architect Kjell Kosberg.

Molde Panorama – 222 Mountain Peaks

From the Varden viewpoint, just 10 minutes from the city center, the famous Molde panorama reveals itself with its 222 mountain peaks. The south-facing city is surrounded by mountains and fjords, offering spectacular views year-round.

Activities and experiences

The city offers varied experiences: skiing at Tusten Ski Resort, climbing at Høyt & Lavt, or relaxing at Moldebadet with a view of the fjord. At Romsdalsmuseet, you can explore the region's history. Just outside the city, you'll find the Midsund stone steps and Mardalsfossen in Eikesdal, one of the world’s most beautiful waterfalls.
